Credit Card Processing & Authorize.Net Setup


MakeReadyArmz customers may use either of the following recommended credit card processing options.


Option 1 — Fortis Pay


Complete the Fortis Pay sign-up form to get started. A Fortis Pay representative will follow up with you to answer questions, review rates, and finalize your account.

Many banks and merchant service providers avoid firearms-related businesses or classify them as “high-risk,” which can result in higher processing rates.


Fortis Pay works with firearms-related businesses and provides payment-processing options designed for the industry.

Option 2 — Celero Commerce


MakeReadyArmz customers can also apply for credit card processing through Celero Commerce.

Authorize.Net Is Required


Regardless of which credit card processor you choose, MakeReadyArmz requires Authorize.Net as the payment gateway for your website.


Most credit card processors can work with Authorize.Net. Using Authorize.Net provides the security and payment-integration capabilities required by the MakeReadyArmz website platform.


MakeReadyArmz will configure the Authorize.Net connection on your website for you.


Credentials We Need


We require the following three items from your Authorize.Net account:


  1. API Login ID — existing ID; does not need to be recreated
  1. Transaction Key — a new key must be generated
  1. Public Client Key — a new key must be generated


Once you have all three credentials, submit a support ticket at:

How to Get Your Authorize.Net Credentials


Before You Begin


Log in to your Authorize.Net Merchant Account.


Navigate to:


Account → Account and API Settings → API Credentials & Keys


This is where you will retrieve or generate the credentials MakeReadyArmz needs.

Step 1 — Get Your API Login ID


Your existing API Login ID does not need to be recreated.


  1. Open API Credentials & Keys.
  1. Locate your API Login ID.
  1. Copy the API Login ID and save it so you can provide it to MakeReadyArmz.


Important: Your API Login ID is not your normal Authorize.Net username or email address. Make sure you provide the API Login ID shown on the API Credentials & Keys page.

Step 2 — Generate a New Transaction Key


A new Transaction Key is required for the updated MakeReadyArmz payment integration.


  1. From API Credentials & Keys, locate the Transaction Key section.
  1. Select Generate New Transaction Key.
  1. Complete the Authorize.Net identity verification when prompted.
  1. If Authorize.Net gives you the option to immediately disable the previous Transaction Key, do not disable the existing key immediately unless MakeReadyArmz has instructed you to do so.
  1. Generate the new Transaction Key.
  1. Copy and securely save the new Transaction Key immediately.


Authorize.Net may only display the complete Transaction Key when it is generated.


Keeping the previous key active temporarily helps prevent an interruption in payment processing while MakeReadyArmz updates and verifies your website.

Step 3 — Generate a New Public Client Key


A new Public Client Key is also required for the updated MakeReadyArmz payment integration.


  1. From API Credentials & Keys, locate the Public Client Key section.
  1. Select Generate New Public Client Key.
  1. Complete the Authorize.Net verification process if prompted.
  1. If Authorize.Net provides an option to immediately disable the previous key, do not disable it unless MakeReadyArmz has instructed you to do so.
  1. Generate the new Public Client Key.
  1. Copy and securely save the new Public Client Key.

Submit Your Credentials to MakeReadyArmz


Before submitting your ticket, make sure you have all three:


  • API Login ID — your existing ID
  • Transaction Key — newly generated
  • Public Client Key — newly generated


Go to:

Create a ticket with the subject:


[Your Business Name] — Authorize.Net Credentials


Provide the three Authorize.Net credentials requested above.


MakeReadyArmz will configure the payment gateway on your website and verify the updated integration.

Important — Other Authorize.Net Integrations


Generating new Authorize.Net credentials can affect other websites, applications, POS systems, or services connected to the same Authorize.Net account.


If your Authorize.Net account is being used by anything other than your MakeReadyArmz website, please tell MakeReadyArmz before disabling or replacing existing credentials.


This allows us to avoid disrupting another system that may still depend on the previous credentials.
